Shelters for Victims of Trafficking: during October, the Commissioner's Unit conducted a tour of shelters for victims of trafficking and forced labor. The tour included a lecture by the shelters' manager on the frameworks available for victims, a visit to the Atlas Men's Shelter and to the Ma'agan Women's Shelter. The Commissioner's Unit subsequently delivered a lecture for the women professionals working in the shelters about foreignworkers' labor rights. Following the tour, professional collaborations were established including, among other things, free legal aid for the residents of the shelters. Since the tour and in light of the direct contact established between the shelter staff and the Commissioner's Unit staff, several queries on the labor laws pertaining to the residents of the Ma'agan Shelter and their employers were submitted to the Unit. Furthermore, it was agreed that the Commissioner would arrange a time to visit the shelter and conduct personal meetings with the residents in the presence of an interpreter. At these meetings, the residents will be given information relevant to their workplace and, if necessary, legal aid.

Agriculture Trainees: details on this tour can be found in the sub-section on ongoing agriculture education.

CEC: in December the Commissioner's Unit conducted a tour of the CEC Center – a community education center for refugees andmigrant workers that was established as a response to the need for education raised in different communities. The goal of the CEC is to offer adults courses and professional training in a range of fields with the aim of helping them to contend with problems they face and to improve their situation in the Israeli or any other labor market they find themselves in, whether out of choice or necessity. The Unit's team presented its work to the center's staff and a joint discussion was held on possible collaborations.
