First, we explored ancient Jerusalem and its borders: the Kidron Valley, the Pool of Siloam and Mount Moriah, before heading to the Pool of Siloam which was the gathering place for all the pilgrims who would come to Jerusalem and from there, set out on their way to the Temple. The Pilgrims’ Road is actually the main street through which they ascended to the Temple during the Second Temple period. The giant stones which compose the street still today are the very same ones our ancestors walked on 2,000 years ago. It’s

fascinating to walk along it, take in all the history and discover the archaeological remains. The street was revealed by the City of David and the Israel Antiquities Authority after years of excavations and is considered one of Israel’s most important archaeological discoveries. The tour ends at the Davidson Archaeological Garden, managed by the Jewish Quarter Restoration and Development Company Ltd. Visitors here also get a chance to explore the site’s interactive museum, and walk along a section of the Jerusalem Wall. walking distance of the Western Wall and offers a whole range of tours and activities. cityofdavid.org.il Between heaven and earth The Jerusalem suspension bridge Located in the Jerusalem Walls National Park, the Ben Hinnom suspension bridge stretches across 202 meters, 30 meters above the Ben Hinnom Valley, connecting it to Mount Zion.
