A new Travel Hotels culinary initiative

A new kids’ arcade at Ben Gurion Airport

Kiryat Motzkin gets its first hotel The Shatit Group “Mamash Hotel” chain has won the tender to build the first hotel in Kiryat Motzkin. The hotel will not only offer accommodation solutions, but also provide a new, multi-purpose hospitality complex in a part of the country that hasn’t yet been a tourist destination. The project (set to be completed by 2029), will be carried out at an investment of approximately NIS 55 million and spread across 7,500 sqm (+ 1,500 sqm of balconies), with 100 rooms (including spacious family rooms), and a children’s hub with games and activities. On weekdays, the hotel will also offer advanced workspaces with conference halls and events’ halls in order to respond to growing demand from businesses across the region.

The new culinary initiative by Travel Hotels, “Ta’im La’Tayel”, connects travelers with home cooks and chefs that host private dinners across the country, from the Galilee to the Golan Heights, to the Arava and Mitzpe Ramon. The Jerusalem Waldorf Astoria won first place in the “best hotel in Israel” category, and Jerusalem won best tourist city in North Africa and the Middle East. The city was even ranked seventh among all tourist cities in the world. The ranking, considered one of the most prestigious in the tourism world, is based on more than 661 thousand votes by more than 207 thousand magazine readers. In response, Jerusalem Waldorf Astoria CEO Avner On said: “this is a huge recognition, and we pledge to continue to provide every guest with the highest level of service”.

A giant kids’ arcade is set to open at Ben Gurion Airport’s Terminal 3 under the helm of the Babylon Park chain, winner of the tender in which 30 companies from Israel and abroad participated. This will be the first time a game park will be located in an airport alongside all the familiar shops and restaurants, offering passengers a unique entertainment experience as they await their flight. The arcade will spread across 150 sqm and is expected to be extended in the future. The project will be carried out at an overall investment of NIS 10 million and will include the world’s most advanced video games, simulators, VR, and innovative gaming experiences.
