It is home to the Negev Museum of Art, where a retrospective of the work of abstract painter Zvi Mairovitch is currently on show - “Sudden Landscapes” - and to the Museum of Islamic and Near Eastern Cultures where you can see an exhibition entitled “Living Water”, which examines the place of water in Islamic culture, from its use as an everyday raw material to its potency as a symbol of purity, fertility, abundance, and knowledge. The Suzanne Dellal Dance Festival marks its tenth edition this year with dozens of shows, performances, premieres, open rehearsals, and dance happenings. The focus this year is on creating a dialogue between past, present, and future through deep connection with the physical body, and personal and collective memory, with the festival shining a light on the vibrancy of the local Israeli performing arts scene and the exceptional independent artists for whom dance is a powerful tool to celebrate the body, explore identity, and crosss cultures and boundaries. Video Art The Eighth Sound | Beit Guvrin National Park

This collaborative project between singer-songwriter Ehud Banai and video artist Ronen Tanchum takes visitors on a multi-sensory journey into the mysterious Bell Caves of Beit Guvrin National Park. As Banai’s songs meet Tanchum’s video creations, an immersive dialogue between sound, light, memory, and technology takes flight, and this exceptional location becomes a gateway to a place that exists somewhere between time, memory, ancient consciousness, and the depths of the earth.
