“Man of Dreams” is the title Laurence Ziv’s children chose for this retrospective exhibition of their father’s artistic output. Ziv passed away in 2015 and was considered to be a veritable “Renaissance man” by those close to him. The exhibition showcases more than 50 of his works in domains as varied as fashion, interior design, painting, sculpture, drawing, music, and architecture. One of the most notable pieces on show is a ceiling fresco with colorful figures that represent life cycles which was inspired by Botticelli’s “Primavera”. The exhibition pays a vibrant homage to Ziv as the virtuoso multidisciplinary artist and fascinating individual that he was, a man who created an impressive body of work in many artistic languages . After delighting visitors in more than 20 countries around the world, the Lumagica International Light Festival is coming to Israel for the first time. A multi-sensory experience for the whole family, the Lumagica festival will transform Tel Aviv’s Park HaYarkon into a kingdom of light and magic, with dozens of spectacular light sculptures, a food fair, fairground attractions, and more. Made in Europe especially for the occasion (including a 5m-high Hannukah menorah), the light sculptures were made using advanced 3D technologies and - for the first time in Israel - aside from the light and sound installations, there’ll also be a spectacular water-powered one.
