Dinings | Elegant and Japanese
After a long period of closure (first due to the pandemic, and then to the war), the Norman Hotel’s luxury rooftop restaurant has reopened. The menu - cocreated by Masaki Sugisaki, executive-chef at Dinings SW3 in London, and Daniel Tzur and Omer Shadmi, chefs at Elena, the hotel’s ground-floor restaurant - combines Japanese elegance with Israeli nonchalance, and is based on seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Delicious appetizers are served on exquisite china plates, and classic sushi and nigiri balance out the menu’s understated innovations. Dinings reasserts the timeless authenticity of Japanese cuisine, even when located in the bustling heart of Tel Aviv. @dinings_tlv

Bbang bang | Asian flavors and Israeli sass
This vibrant new Asian street food spot offers a refreshing rereading of Asian dishes and flavors, courtesy of chefs Ofer Elmaleh and Kobi Bendelak, veterans of the White City’s restaurant scene who dove deep into the roots of Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai cuisines, clearing the table of any sugar, and basing their menu on natural ingredients only, resulting
in delicious, fresh, light dishes that offer intricate, delicate flavors. Dishes are served alongside spudo – a plump, brown bun filled with chicken, meat, or vegetables, and baked in a machine especially imported from Korea. The drinks menu includes bottled cocktails and sugar-free cold brews that perfectly complete the meal. @bbangbangtlv
