How did you start working at EL AL? “I joined the company almost three decades ago, following the footsteps of my late brother who used to work in the Cabin Systems Department. He taught me the meaning of having real love and appreciation for your work. From technician, I became team leader, then shift manager, department manager – and now, cabin maintenance manager”. What does your position entail? “My job is to make sure everything the passenger experiences inside the aircraft - from the seats, lighting, media and Internet systems, to the doors, etc., goes smoothly and efficiently. Also, my department is responsible for ensuring 100% seat availability around-the-clock to meet demand, and to provide perfect operational continuity and an

uncompromising flight experience at all times”. What do you love about your job? “Seeing a plane take off bearing the name EL AL next to the Israeli flag, knowing that everything is working as it should, and that every detail, even the smallest, has been taken care of”. Which part of your job do you find most challenging? “Reaching our targets and metrics at all times. The department operates three maintenance circuits simultaneously. The interconnection between the circuits is challenging, as is the necessity to resolve issues as they occur and develop, so as to always ensure the highest standards are upheld for the perfect flight experience”.

enjoy discovering landscapes and immersing myself in nature. I recommend visiting Albania – it’s beautiful, with picturesque villages and breathtaking landscapes, hot springs, and delicious, traditional food”. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? “I love spending time with my family, going on trips with them, in Israel and abroad. I enjoy extreme sports, as well as playing board games at home with the children”. What would you be doing now, had you not joined EL AL? “I’d probably be doing something in the world of nutrition and mental coaching”.
