After undergoing a significant upgrade process, the King David Lounge at Ben Gurion Airport has recently reopened, offering EL AL’s exclusive customers an elevated standard of service and a luxurious and pampering experience. The lounge now boasts a modern, well-equipped bar, new furniture with advanced seating arrangements for extra comfort and privacy, and new Nespresso machines, placed throughout the lounge. The Orly Shrem architecture firm, chosen to lead the lounge upgrade, has masterfully maximized spatial potential, creating an elegant atmosphere that ensures passengers enjoy maximum privacy and comfort as they await boarding. A wide range of seating solutions are available, from quiet corners to open meeting areas, with the upper floor now featuring a central bar alongside private work capsules for those looking for a quiet spot removed from the main area. Hardwood flooring has replaced the carpeting, and extra The EL AL app recently won two prestigious awards for 2025, namely the “Product of the Year” award and the “Bravo Consumer Recommendation Award”. USB ports and power outlets have been integrated across the lounge. The gallery floor bar was designed by Ariel Leizgold’s BELLBOY Group, one of the leading mixologist and cocktail specialists in Israel, responsible for some of the most successful bars in the country and across the world. Leizgold not only designed the bar itself, he also worked with the bar staff on creating unique cocktail recipes, developing five exclusive cocktails inspired by EL AL’s favorite destinations - New York, Tokyo, London, Paris, and Berlin. The lounge’s iconic pizza and beloved food menu remains, for its part, fully on their concept, attractiveness, and usability, as determined by extensive consumer research. The “Bravo Consumer Recommendation Award” is for its part, granted to products and services that have received positive recommendations from over 75% of users. Indeed, the EL AL app has achieved an impressive 84% in consumer satisfaction and recommendations! The EL AL app continues to innovate and lead the digital flight experience in Israel.
