Meryem is celebrity chef Haim Cohen’s new restaurant, located between Ramat Gan and Bnei Brak. Its large, elegantly designed dining room is warm and inviting, and the menu is a clever mix between the traditional food he grew up with and contemporary fine dining. Bringing Galilean flavors to Jaffa Those that have been lucky to be invited into chef Erez Komarovsky’s Jaffa home will surely never forget its pastoral tranquility and gorgeous sea-view balcony. Until the security situation stabilizes in the north of Israel, Komarovsky and his business partner Hanan Ezran have transferred their Galilean kitchen to a pop-up three-day restaurant in Jaffa. The menu includes grilled vegetables, chard, spinach, and jibna-filled pies, as well as Denver steak, veal sweetbread, and more. Also, diners can purchase Galilean specialties made by a fair-trade association promoting Arab and Jewish coexistence at a stall inside the restaurant.
