Start at the fruit and vegetable stands of Talpiot market, where some of the city’s best eateries lie, among which a Thai restaurant, two Vietnamese ones, a brewery and more. From there, walk down Hahalutz street towards Wadi Nisnas. In Hawadi street there’s an open market with little stores, traditional restaurants, and street food stands, including “Falafel Hazkenim”, a veritable falafel institution that foodies from across the country flock to year round. Continue through to Haifa’s Downtown which is back to being its usual vibrant self, chockfull of bars and trendy eateries, including the highly recommended Rola and Lux. ■ 07 | A riot of flavors The Haifa culinary scene
