Start at the fruit and vegetable stands of Talpiot market, where some of the city’s best eateries lie, among which a Thai restaurant, two Vietnamese ones, a brewery and more. From there, walk down Hahalutz street towards Wadi Nisnas. In Hawadi street there’s an open market with little stores, traditional restaurants, and street food stands, including “Falafel Hazkenim”, a veritable falafel institution that foodies from across the country flock to year round. It is home to the Afikei Mayim vacation site, established by Moti and Eti Ozeri. It offers two fully equipped vacation apartments with adjacent dining

hall, perfect for families of up to 8 people, as well as two wood cabins that each have a bedroom, a family room sleeping up to 4 children, and a kitchenette. Each cabin has a porch and the entire site is surrounded by nature. There’s also a pool (open April to October) and a large dining room for up to 40 people, equipped with everything you need to celebrate family events. The accommodation is suitable for large families and Shabbat keepers, but not exclusively. There’s a synagogue and a recreational area at the center of the moshav.
