The Hagoshrim Hotel is undergoing extensive renovations | Located in the Upper Galilee, the Hagoshrim Hotel has been closed since the start of the war for security reasons. In the meantime, extensive renovations are being undertaken and are expected to be completed by next March. Hopefully by then, it will be safe and possible to reopen. The hotel will include 172 rooms spread across four buildings surrounded by streams and nature. Under the helm of architect Ari Shaltiel, the 44 rooms of the old “Dan building” are being transformed into 32 larger rooms for extra space and comfort.

Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral reopens |

Two new Visitors’ Centers have opened |

In Paris and around the world, people are eagerly awaiting the reopening of Notre-Dame cathedral, which is expected to take place this month, on December 8 th . In the fire of April 2019, the cathedral’s spire collapsed. The restoration process took more than five years, with over 1,000 people working on the reconstruction. The appearance of the cathedral remains faithful to the original, despite attempts by various artists to change it during the renovation. The interior of the cathedral also remains the same, and it seems that the only thing that has changed is the color of the façade, which has become much whiter after all the accumulated dust and soot have been cleaned off.

The Israel Nature and Parks Authority has announced the opening of two new visitors’ centers: one in Tel Lakish National Park, and the other at the entrance to Nahal Bokek. The aim is to improve the visitor experience and assist the Authority in its work keeping natural parks and heritage sites clean. “Tel Lakish is one of the most important archaeological sites in Israel. Our role is to make sure it is accessible to all and well maintained. The center at the entrance to Nahal Bokek is great news for nature lovers as now, it will remain clean and well kept throughout the year”, says Raya Shurki, CEO of the Nature and Parks Authority.
