5

emerging Israeli designers to look out for

The Bat-Yam Design Terminal, founded by Israeli NPO “OutBox”, champions Israeli designers by promoting their work and giving them space to evolve and create in, both as artists and as entrepreneurs. Here are 5 up-and-coming Design Terminal graduates whose work caught our eye / By Adi Fogel Hollander

Morgen | Designer: Mor Geffen A graduate of the Holon Institute of Technology, Mor Geffen is an industrial designer who developed her own production process for ceramic texture imprinting. Her ceramic jugs are imprinted with objects collected from three different worlds: the world of nature, of woven baskets, and of the street. She is currently launching her collection of decorative tiles, and leading workshops where participants can learn her technique and try implementing it on objects of their own. linktr.ee/morgen_design @morgen_design

Papino Ties | Designer: Michal Zaguri Lavi

After years of working in the world of diamonds and luxury jewelry, Michal Zaguri Lavi founded her own brand of metal bow ties and tie knots. Zaguri Lavi interprets anew the classic bow tie, adding her own brand of contemporary playfulness. Her designs are characterized by their graphic elements and 3D textures, each piece being handmade and part of a limited collection. The new collection is inspired by the world of snakes, with colors and textures belonging to snakes from different parts of the world, some in danger of extinction. The collection’s subliminal message is to protest against the harmful use of snakeskin in the fashion world. papinoties.com, @papinoties
