Juna | Designer: Nitzan Tabib
A graduate of the Holon Institute of Technology’s design faculty, Nitzan Tabib founded her brand, Juna, basing it on a craft technique that marries traditional Yemenite basket weaving with modern craft techniques. Tabib creates decorative household items, such as baskets and vases using synthetic climbing ropes by harnessing their thermoplastic properties, fusing them together and creating patterns that echo those of the Yemenite tradition. @juna_by_nitzan
Animit | Designer: Amit Maoz
Animator and illustrator Amit Maoz created a design app and platform that brings art to life by exploring the combination of printed art, digital tools, and animation, via the use of augmented reality (AR) and music. Thanks to his Artivive app, his illustrations spring to life, dancing, and shapeshifting before your very eyes. Once you’ve scanned the artwork of your choice via the app, it immediately becomes dynamic, with movement and sound taking over. amitmaoz.com @amitmaoz
Berko Design Studio Designer: Barak Illouz
Barak Illouz studied architectural engineering and worked in this field for many years, developing a particular interest in terrazzo. Today, he creates terrazzo based household items (lamps, clocks, Judaica items, etc.) in a contemporary elegant style. We particularly liked his new collection of Bauhaus-inspired wall hangers, that beautifully showcases the wide ranging quality of Illouz’s work. berkodecor.com @berkodesignstudio
