With the start of the war, restaurant owners Shalev Nachman and Raz Rozales were forced to close up their fried chicken eatery and head off to fight. The future of this fried chicken institution located along Highway 4, was unclear. But one of their employees decided he’d do what he could to make sure the restaurant would stay afloat and the other staff members banded with him to make sure the legendary Lucky Chicken would keep on serving up its famous fried pollo. Two weeks after the start of the war, Brasserie 22 opened its doors in Petah Tivka. Inspired by Parisian brasserie culture, Brasserie 22 is infused with European charm. It welcomes workers during the day, with excellent fresh produce-based lunch menus, and at night, lights are dimmed, and bartenders serve up cocktails to younger crowds who’ve come to party. Designed by Chef Maayan Nadir, the menu leans on the classic brasserie dishes. This little slice of chic in the middle of Petah Tivka opened just in time to bring some solace to food lovers and nightlife enthusiasts, and it deserves all your support, in these turbulent

New Tel Aviv eatery Jango was planning on holding a party on October 10 th . But the deadly Hamas attacks put a stop to those plans and the restaurant initially remained closed for two weeks. “Customers began asking us to reopen, and we were worried about our staff members who had friends among the Nova festivalgoers and were in anguish”, recalls one of the owners, Sagi Triger. So they decided to reopen. First with a scaled-down menu, before gradually getting things back to normal. Since then, Jango’s burgers have shot up to the top of the Tel Aviv burger hit parade – no small feat in these rocky times of war.
