What led you to join EL AL? “I’ve been flying EL AL since I was a boy and always loved it and was always so excited whenever I saw an EL AL plane in the sky. After military service my dream was to make EL AL my second home – and my dream came true”. What does your position entail? “It covers several areas including aircraft leasing contract management, economic calculations, managing the integration and removal of aircraft, and implementing work in the field of research and engineering. I also participate in discussions with other company divisions when decisions need to be taken. For instance, when we’re

trying to decide whether to shorten or increase an aircraft’s period of activity, we jointly analyze the various factors and constraints before taking a final decision”. What do you most love about your job? “My favorite thing about it is how varied it is. It’s never boring, but rather a constant challenge to be strategically navigated as expertly as possible”. Which part of your job do you find most challenging? “Every aircraft purchase or leasing is a challenge. Each aircraft has its own contract, risk evaluation, and features. When an aircraft is integrated into the fleet, different divisions will have their own requirements and constraints. The aim is to reach optimization with a good product that’s profitable and allows us to be a strong market competitor”. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? “I love going to the beach to drink wine and listen to the waves. I try and visit my grandparents at least once a week, and on the weekends, I volunteer at a food charity for the elderly. I also love to hang out with friends and spoil my nephews”. What would you be doing now had you not joined EL AL? “I’d be a math or an English teacher or a

psychologist. I’m a good listener and I’m told I give good advice”. What do you always pack with you? “The Book of Psalms, a kippa, a universal plug adapter, and a Bluetooth speaker”. Which EL AL destination do you most enjoy flying to and why ? “Thailand’s magical island of Phuket. It has it all: an atmosphere of fun and relaxation, beautiful landscapes, and it’s close by to other incredible little islands. I love starting the day sipping coconut water on the beach while enjoying a foot massage”.
