Israel’s longest suspension bridge inaugurated in Jerusalem After the inauguration of a 70-meter long suspension bridge in the city of Nesher and of an 80-meter-long one in Nahal HaBesor, Israel’s longest suspension bridge has recently been inaugurated in Jerusalem. The new 202-meter-long bridge, which took ten months to build, connects the Valley of Hinnom to Mount Zion and offers a 30-meter-high panoramic view of the capital city. Visitors will be able to easily access the nearby City of David National Park where they can explore its many farms and vineyards. The bridge will be open to the public, free of charge, every day between 6 AM and 10 PM.

Waterland Eilat has finally opened After seven years of construction and two and half years of pandemic induced lockdowns, Eilat’s giant water park “Waterland”, is finally open. The park has three water towers, 14 extreme-slides of various kinds, two of which being “the highest slides in the Middle East”, standing at 24-meters high. There’s a toddlers’ pool full of games and slides, buckets that kids can flip over, water mushrooms, two merry go-rounds and a big wave pool. The park has many shaded seating areas, an area for eating, and even an events hall with a theatre stage.

A prestigious title for the Isla Brown Corinthia Resort & Sp a British newspaper the “Independent” has named the Isla Brown Corinthia Resort & Spa the best hotel in Europe for 2023. This 5-star luxury deluxe resort, located an hour’s drive away from Athens, belongs to Israeli hospitality group “Brown Hotels” and offers 166 rooms and suites, a rooftop bar and restaurant, two swimming pools, a private beach, a beautiful spa, a sports center, as well as an events and conference hall. It is the first Isla Brown resort in Greece, and a second one has recently been inaugurated in Chania, on the island of Crete.

The port of Haifa nominated for the title of “Cruise Destination of the Year”

The list of ports and harbors nominated for the Seatrade Cruise Award for “Cruise Destination of the Year” has recently been revealed in London. Each year, this prestigious award gives a series of prizes to international ports and harbors in a range of categories. The port of Haifa has been nominated this year as a candidate for the award for “Cruise Destination of the Year”, the competition’s most prestigious award. According to the panel of judges that designated the list of candidate-cities, Haifa has undergone a revolution as a destination-city for cruises and is one of the most fast-developing sailing destinations in the world. The winning port will be announced later this month.
