The University created several specialized academic programs aimed at military personnel stationed in the Negev The Re'amim program, a combined BSc-MSc five year elite program in electrical engineering, as well as Brakim , a revived program offering a double undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and physics and a MSc in mechanical engineering, were both approved by the IDF's Human Resources Directorate. Also in development are the Galaxia program, a unique BSc-MSc 4-year pre-military program

in physics, and Zur , a collaboration with intelligence technology units, that will launch in October 2025. The Office has also continued to foster various research collaborations with governmental and private entities over the past year, further contributing to the University’s mission of advancing the region and positioning itself as a key player in regional development.
