MAR 2026 Munich Event Launches BGU Germany BGU marked a milestone in Germany with its inaugural event in Munich, held at the prestigious City Hall amid the ongoing conflict with Iran. Organized by Richard Markus, newly appointed president of BGU’s German association, in collaboration with Philipp Pohlmann of the Munich City Administration, the event featured Vice President Jeff Kaye and brought together an impressive array of participants from academia, government, business, and the Jewish community, introducing BGU to a wider audience and highlighting the strength of Bavarian-Israeli ties.

attendees gathered at St John’s Wood Synagogue for a BGU UK event featuring Noa Argamani in conversation with broadcaster, journalist, and Halutz alumnus Jonathan Sacerdoti. Organized by Director of Resource Development and Strategic Partnerships Louise Brandman, Halutz graduates played a key role in mobilizing support and ensuring the evening’s success.
